Outdoor Wedding & Event Facilities at Baver Herbs

Celebrate your wedding (or other outdoor event) at our peaceful, serene family farmstead, surrounded by nature and two historic Norwegian barns. The Baver farm has been in the family since 1888 (more about the history), and is now home to Baver Herbs. We are located in Benzie County, part of northwest lower Michigan, just a few miles southeast of Frankfort / Elberta, and a few miles west of Beulah / Benzonia. Click here for details.
We can accommodate up to 300 people. The facilities ore beautiful but rustic. See below for a few photos. Rental includes use of the land only — we provide the ambiance, you provide your own amenities: tent, caterer, tables, chairs, linens, china, electricity (generator), lighting, stages, decorations, florist, photographer, port-a-potties, and trash removal. - We have daytime weddings from 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
- We have nighttime weddings from 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM. Everyone must be off the grounds by 11:30 PM
- Other events are possible by the hour.
Prices for weddings range from $450 to $650, depending on the amount of people and time on the premises. Prices for other events also depend on the amount of people and time on the premises.
- For weddings (and similar large events), a cleaning deposit of $200 is required at the time of booking. This will be refunded the day after the wedding (or event) if the grounds are clean and clear.
- Smoking is in designated areas only, and will be enforced – please alert your guests.
- We cannot have any open fire – the risk of a fire is too high, the antique barns and surrounding woods are too priceless, and the fire department is too far away.
